The search for DM candidates continues since many years using various types of detectors. Up to now no positive results were obtained with exception of (rather unsure) ones obtained by the DAMA-LIBRA experiment.
The Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) started in April 1992, with the prime aim of solving the dark matter problem through observations of microlensing events. Thanks to technical progress over the years, the project has evolved to one of the currently largest wide-field photometric surveys of the Milky Way and nearby galaxies. I will review the most important OGLE discoveries that have a great impact on modern astrophysics
Nuclei are present in the crust of neutron star at densities up to 1014 g cm-3. The crust of a neutron star contributes only about one percent to the stellar mass but it is essential for many astrophysical phenomena, such as pulsar glitches and X-ray bursts.
