MAIN TOPICS OF ACTIVITY

The Department activities consist of research and development, applications, and services, focused on using the experimental and theoretical physics methods for applications in natural environment monitoring and recovery, medical therapy and diagnostics, as well as in the other fields of science and technology, which might help in improving of conditions of citizens' life. It is involved in research in the atomic, nuclear and elementary particle physics using particle accelerators, cosmic radiation, and radioactive sources being also engaged in construction and development of new experimental devices and techniques for such investigation areas. It participates in EU projects generally promoting scientific research for innovative economy and ensuring the state security.
