Nuclear states of antiprotons and K mesons

The purpose of this research is to understand the mechanism that binds K mesons to nuclear systems. In particular we want to understand the mechanism that forms deeply bound states of Kaons found in Japan and several European laboratories. Presumably such mechanism is due to strange hadron resonances.

A related search is devoted to understanding of the nucleon-antinucleon and nucleus-antinucleon quasi-bound states. Here, the purpose is to indicate nuclear reactions wchich could lead to discoveries of such states at CERN and the future GSI.
