Search for neutrinos from supernovae

Neutrinos can arrive on earth from very distant regions of the Universe bringing up information about violent processes taking place in stars. Up to now supernova neutrinos have been observed only once, when about twenty interactions observed in three detectors.

The thesis will consists of simulations as well as search for a data signal related to supernova in the ICARUS experiment, in which our group is involved.
