"The physics of first quater of an hour" of the heavy ion collisions at LHC

High luminosity and large cross sections at the LHC accelerator will make it possible to get the first characteristics of charged particles multiplicities and spectra in heavy ion collisions during the first hours of beam time (lead beam expected in 2009).

Most of planned experiments will look for more refined signals, requiring very sophisticated triggers and selection procedures, but even the first very basic information will be important.

To do: learn the measurement possibilities and perform extensive simulations.
